St. Paul’s to Host Special Veterans Mass Sunday Nov. 11th
The congregation of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, McHenry is inviting all McHenry area veterans to a special Veterans Day Mass on Sunday, November 11th at our 10AM service. This special service is in honor of all veterans for their service to our country! The Reverend Lori Lowe will officiate with the Reverend William McLemore, U.S. Army, Retired, preaching. There will be a special reception following the service in the Parish Hall.
St. Paul’s has a long history of helping our nation’s veterans. We provided housing for homeless veterans at Betts’ Place, a church owned residence on the west side of McHenry, through Transitional Living Services (TLS) for several years, and have supported TLS in their service to veterans in many ways over the years. We are currently providing, non-perishable food and paper products to TLS for their veteran clients. St. Paul’s is also participating in the McHenry Chamber Veterans Expo at the McHenry VFW from 6PM to 8PM on Thursday November 8, 2018.
All veterans, their families, and all interested parties are welcome to attend the Special Service on November 11th and the reception that follows.
