Thank you – all of you – for the wonderful event last Wednesday.  It was a true celebration and rededication of the parish, and a perfect time for my official installation as your Rector.  In addition to the presence of our Bishop and two of his senior staff (Jim Steen and Dent Davidson), we had the pleasure of eight visiting clergy; the Honorable Sue Low, Mayor of McHenry; guests from our McHenry Rotary Club; and visitors from our sister churches in Crystal Lake and Woodstock.  I want to personally thank the Vestry for all the special arrangements (I’m afraid to name names for fear of leaving out someone); Bill Lang and Rick Carlstedt for finishing the Seaton Room in time to be used for clergy vesting; Melinda for the flawless service booklet (all done in-house!); and for my Bill, without whom I probably wouldn’t have made it this far.  Thank you everyone, and thanks be to God for this parish and our life together.
